Do’s and Don’ts – PVC & WPC Boards

DO’s

  • Laminate or paint both sides of the board or door. Use the same materials and finish. This is to maintain balance and prevent bending.
  • Store the boards flat on an even surface. This will help avoid warping or twisting.
  • Use sharp blades to cut. This will give you smooth and clean edges.
  • Drilling holes before screwing can avoid surface cracks.
  • Get rid of dust, oil, and moisture before lamination or painting.

DON’Ts

  • Don't leave one side while laminating or painting. This can cause uneven pressure and thus bending.
  • Do not drag the boards on rough floors. Always lift them to move.
  • Don’t leave your boards in direct sunlight. Especially for extended periods before fixing.
  • Do not use thinner, acetone, or any solvent-based chemicals. If used for cleaning or surface treatment, they can damage the board.
